What BestPlaces Users Say about Apple Valley

As a bustling suburb located just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, Apple Valley, Minnesota is known for its strong sense of community and abundance of outdoor activities. The city boasts a diverse population and a highly rated school district, making it an attractive place to live for families and young professionals alike. However, like any city, it has its pros and cons. Here are four user reviews that provide insight into what it's like to live in Apple Valley.

First, Emily S. praises the city's amenities and sense of community in her review on Best Places: "I've lived in Apple Valley for over 10 years and it has everything I need - grocery stores, restaurants, parks, and friendly neighbors. The city also hosts great events throughout the year that bring the community together." Similarly, John D. highlights the city's strong education system: "As a parent, I appreciate the quality of schools in Apple Valley. My children are receiving a top-notch education and there are plenty of extracurricular activities for them to participate in."

On the other hand, not all reviews are positive. Samantha M. expresses frustration with the cost of living in Apple Valley: "While I do enjoy the community and safety of Apple Valley, it's becoming increasingly expensive to live here. Rent and home prices continue to rise and it's starting to feel unaffordable." In a similar vein, Kevin P. mentions concerns about the city's traffic and development: "I've noticed a significant increase in traffic and construction in recent years, which can be frustrating. It seems like the city is growing too quickly and not keeping up with the infrastructure."

Overall, the user reviews about living in Apple Valley showcase a mix of positive and negative experiences. While the city offers a strong community, good schools, and a variety of amenities, it also has its drawbacks such as high living costs and increased traffic. Ultimately, it's important for individuals to carefully consider their priorities and do thorough research before deciding to make Apple Valley their home.

I like Mn... - 10/5/2010
Being ex military, I have traveled to a lot of States. If I had my way, Id live in San Diego, but I can't afford it. My second choice would be Mn. There are lots of things to do both in the winter and summer. Yes, its slow compared to NY, but I like it that way. The cost of living can be costly but there are a lot of fortune 500 companies that pays well. There are lots of colleges, theaters and lakes. Some of the people are friendly but of course you have a_ _ holes, no matter where you go. The place is clean, the schools are awesome. One gentlemen from LA told me that our ghetto looks more like one of their suburbs :) Read More

The schools are very good and you are close to Minneapolis and St. Paul. I have lived here for 18 years but the winters have become to much for me and I intend to move to a more mild Read More
